About
The Carlsbad Considerations is the Carlsbad Institute for Social Thought’s open-access online journal, providing cutting edge scholarly writing in the humanities and social sciences to a wider audience.
The Carlsbad Institute endeavours to deepen the understanding of society and its institutions through free, independent, and value-neutral study within the disciplines of history, law, philosophy, political economy, and other related fields, and to use these ideas to help shape the Europe of the future.
The Considerations is committed to the rigorous study of the social world and to this end offers a forum for ideas not necessarily those of the Carlsbad Institute. We do not endorse anything our contributors say, but merely their capacity for thorough and thought-provoking argument. Anyone who disagrees with anything published herein is invited to send a well-argued refutation to director@carlsbadinstitute.org and we will consider it for publication according to the aforementioned criterion.
